The nylon core within the microfiber form tiny cutting
edges that break up surface dirt and easily absorb and remove oils and
other grimy substances. The only solvent needed is water!

HOW DO I USE THE CLOTHS?
I get the impression that the
color of the cloths mean something. Am I right?
Yes. The RED CLOTH
is abrasive and meant for hard, indelicate surfaces. The BLUE CLOTH
has an abrasive side (the looped side)
and a sensitive side (the smooth side). The BLUE CLOTH
works great damp or wet. The
GREEN
CLOTH and
GREEN
CLOTH mitt are gentle and meant
for delicate surfaces and for dusting (dry). Once you have dry-dusted,
the
GREEN
CLOTH can be dampened with water
through a spray bottle and used for delicate cleaning. Our art gallery
customers use the
GREEN
CLOTH on most of their painting
and fine art
The Swedish Cleaning system is just that – a system. Each
cloth and floor tool has been designed to perform specific cleaning
functions.
The cloths are two-sided (except the floor cloths). Each
side has a specific purpose. Begin by folding the cloth twice with the
looped side outward. This produces four (4) surfaces, each looped.
Professional cleaners always "dust" first. Therefore, use the cloth dry
initially, remove as much dust and dirt as possible, then reverse the
cloth to the smooth side and finish. If dirt remains, try dampening the
smooth side and applying it to the dusted surface.
THE RED CLOTH: The Heavy-Duty Cleaning Cloth
The has a looped side made of hard microfibers,
so-called split fibers, which are sharp-edged and give the cloth an
exceptional cleaning capacity for the removal of solid dirt. The smooth
side of the cloth consists of soft micro fibers of polyester with inserts
of split fibers.
The looped side can be used moistened for cleaning very
dirty surfaces, while the smooth side is used for polishing. Both sides of
the cloth can be used dry.
The RED CLOTH cloth is especially well-suited for cleaning bathroom
fittings, mirrors, heavily soiled glass, tile surfaces, painted metal,
laminates, polished metal, & stone. Best used on hard, insensitive surfaces
THE BLUE CLOTH: The Kitchen Cloth
The looped side of the BLUE CLOTH is made of hard micro
fiber much like the RED CLOTH. The smooth side, however, differs from the
RED CLOTH in that it is made of modal, cotton and smooth microfiber. The
looped, blue side of the BLUE CLOTH is used to clean very dirty, insensitive
surfaces in kitchens and wet rooms. Use it to clean pots and pans. The smooth,
gray side is highly absorbent and is best used for wiping down and light
sensitive cleaning. Use this side for crystal and fine china. The
BLUE CLOTH can be used moist, damp, wet or dry.
To clean sinks, showers and other fixtures:
- Wet Cloth And Wring Out To A Damp Condition
- With Damp Cloth, fold twice with the blue side out (looped side)
- This Gives You four looped surfaces. Wipe from the outside in.
- Finish by Wringing out the Cloth, Rinse, Reverse the Folds and Exposing
the Grayside (smooth side)-Wipe Surface Again.
- Allowed to Dry Surface Will Be Spot Free!
THE
GREEN
CLOTH: The Dusting Cloth
The
GREEN
CLOTH is designed of soft polyester microfiber
and as such, using it dry allows the fibers to create a static electric
charge as it glides across the surface of an object. This static electric
charge literally attracts dust, dirt, micro-organisms and even bacteria
into the cloth – trapping it there within the filament. Unlike cotton or
other "round filaments," which merely move the dust and dirt from one
resting place to another, the
GREEN
CLOTH attracts and traps the dust
within the cloth’s filaments. The can absorb up to seven times
its weight in dust and dirt before it is rendered ineffective.
To Use the
GREEN
CLOTH:
- Fold Cloth Twice Exposing the Looped Side
- Dust with a Looped Side
- Reverse Folds and Polish with the Smooth Side.
THE KOMBI FLOOR CLOTH:
The floor cloth is made of cotton, modal and soft micro
fiber in polyester. It attaches to the handle and holder with Velcro. The
cloth makes a excellent tool for walls, floor length glass and mirrors,
hard to reach spots such as beamed ceilings or ceiling fan blades. The
floor cloth is meant to be used in two ways: Dry, it creates a static
charge to suck up dust and dirt. Always start with the cloth dry to remove the dust,
then moisten with a spray bottle of water, if necessary, to complete the
cleaning. Moistened, this cloth will "scrub" dark marks and solid dirt off
of a floor surface. This cloth makes an excellent applicator for wax and
polish. Floor Pads can be pre dampened prior to cleaning or can be used
dry with a spray bottle of water to "Spot Clean" your hard surface floors.
THE KOMBI FLOOR CLOTH: PROFESSIONAL
This cloth is also made of cotton, modal and soft
microfiber in polyester, but in slightly different percentages. This cloth
is designed specifically for very large surfaces, commercial office
building hallways, gymnasium floors, convention rooms, etc. It differs
from the other kombi in that it has less drag, produces less friction, and
thus covers a larger area in less time and with less effort. It, too,
makes an excellent applicator for waxes and polish and can be used dry for
dusting or damp for wet mopping.
AFTER USING THE CLOTHS:
After using the cloths, wash with a mild detergent (No
Bleach), rinse them thoroughly and permit
to dry. They will dry in about 1/3 the time it takes a traditional cotton
cloth and will be ready for the next use. Machine Dry On Low Heat Setting.

HOW DO I CARE FOR
THE CLOTHS?
All the cloths are machine washable on warm water setting.
DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER OR DRYER SHEETS
DO NOT USE BLEACH
Fabric softener defeats the cloth’s ability to create a
static attraction for dust and dirt. Cloths can be dried, preferably on a
cool or "fluff" setting in the dryer, or air dried. The cloths will dry
much quicker than cotton. It only takes about 1/3 the time to dry a
microfiber cloth as it does a cotton cloth.
We advise that you wash the cloths separately for the
first 3-4 washings as some fading will occur initially. Fading will not
hurt the effectiveness of the cloths.
The cloths can be washed hundreds of times without loss of
effectiveness. The TiPe cloths are guaranteed for 1000 washings or three
years.
WHAT CAN DAMAGE THE CLOTHS?
Fabric softener will decrease the cloths effectiveness. If
you inadvertently apply fabric softener to the cloths, try washing them
without softener 3-4 times.
Don’t use fabric
softener or dryer sheets meant to reduce static cling. Static cling is a
good thing with these cloths.
DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER OR DRYER SHEETS
DO NOT USE BLEACH
Extreme heat will ruin the cloths. They make lousy
hot-pads and extreme-heat will ruin the fabric construction.
Always wash them on a regular basis.
Abuse can damage the cloths. Don’t cut them. Don’t use them as hot-pads or oven mitts.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HANDLE AND A HOLDER?
The handle is that long skinny thing that attaches to the
holder. The holder is the thing at the end of the handle to which the
cloth attaches. You need both to make the floor tool work.
WHY DO YOU SELL HANDLES SEPARATELY FROM THE HOLDERS?
The long skinny thing (handle) works with several
different sized holders. For home use, we suggest you consider the 9" or
the 16" holder with the 55" extendable handle. Each pad is 2" longer than
the holder to allow for extension of one inch on either end. Therefore,
onto the 9" holder you would attach an 11" pad; onto the 16" holder you
would attach the 18" pad.
For commercial applications, larger holders may be
appropriate. Depending on the area to be cleaned, holders and pads go up
to 48".

I’VE SEEN CHEAPER CLOTHS FOR SALE. WHY DOES YOURS COST
MORE?
Microfiber cloths abound in the marketplace. Most are
cheaply made and manufactured for the consumer market. Most microfiber
products sold today are designed to appeal to the visual and tactile
senses, that is to say, they are soft and come in pretty colors. Most
microfiber products available today are designed to be "multi-purpose."
Unfortunately, it is this "multi-purpose" design that prevents most of the
cloths sold today to meet the cleaning standards required by serious
professionals.
TiPe’s cloths are manufactured for the commercial
janitorial industry. Professional cleaners care about two thing: DOES IT
WORK and DOES IT WORK FAST? That’s why TiPe manufactures a CLEANING
SYSTEM. Each cloth is designed to do specific work. The
RED CLOTH is
aggressive, great for highly soiled surfaces, but potentially damaging to
delicate surfaces. The BLUE CLOTH works great is wet environments;
kitchens and restrooms for example, but is not the best choice for
dusting. THE
GREEN
CLOTH, works great on dust, but would never clean
highly soiled areas.
Finally, commercial cleaning tools have to last. If the
cloths are not woven (or knitted) to exact specifications, they would not
hold up under the strenuous conditions that professional cleaners
encounter.
We have tested several brands of microfiber cloths over
the last two years, these are the one’s we use in our commercial
janitorial business and the ones we stand behind with a 3-year guarantee.

WE HAVE A COMMERCIAL
janITORIAL BUSINESS. CAN I BUY IN
BULK?
Yes. Case-lots are available at discounted prices. Check
with your regular SANI-Pro supplier to see if they carry the TiPe brand or
call or email us for wholesale pricing. Insist on the TiPe brand.
To the commercial janitorial operator we offer training
seminars on the use and care of the microfiber cleaning system. Our
ULTRACLEANING SYSTEM combines the benefits of "team cleaning" with the
benefits of microfiber cloth cleaning into a single, comprehensive
training program.

I JUST BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE NEW SWIFTY FLOOR CLEANERS. WHAT
DO I DO WITH IT NOW?
If you’ve had it longer than a week or so, the handle has
already broken, so just throw that away with all the packing, and empty
boxes and the disposable pads that you have accumulated. Try to forgive
yourself for being an environmental terrorist and resolve to be a better
person in the future by buying a re-usable, chemical-less, last for a
lifetime, environmentally friendly TiPe System. Once the Swedish Cleaning
System arrives, you can once again feel good about yourself and brag to
your friends.

Can I use the
cloths on fine wood furniture?
Yes, indeed.
Always start with the
GREEN
CLOTH (the most gentle). Use it
dry. Microfiber will absorb oils into the crevices of the cloth, so it is
best to use the cloths dry. On sealed wood, formica, kitchen cabinets,
etc., you can use the cloths damp.
I have
hardwood floors. Can I use the cloths on them?
Yes. Several of
the major manufacturers of flooring are now designating the TiPe kombi
Floor Cloth as their suggested maintenance system once floors have been
installed. There are two reason: Moisture is the enemy of wood floors
and the TiPe System performs great …dry. Secondly, for scuff marks and
stains, a moistened TiPe floor cloth is far superior to a wet anything.
By the way, the cloths were designed to protrude beyond the holder for a
reason. It lets you get into corners and around baseboard very easily.
Do I need to use disinfectant with the
cloths?
No. But here’s
the rub. The TiPe cloths absorb dust, micro-dust, micro-organisms and
even bacteria WITHOUT CHEMICALS. Using water and the cloths, you will
eliminate more germs and contaminates than any other method. But it won’t
SMELL CLEAN. It won’t SMELL AT ALL.
It was probably the hardest part of the system to get used to. No CLEAN
smell! I grew up using Pine-Sol and Clorox and all the other traditional
cleaners and learned to associate that SMELL with clean.
We clean several medical facilities in our commercial janitorial business
and some require the use of disinfectant in their cleaning and
sanitation guidelines. In those cases, we defer to the requirements
and spray the cloths with disinfectant. Using disinfectant will not
damage the cloths

CAN I WASH MY CAR WITH THE CLOTHS?
Yes. The BLUE CLOTH works great on the painted surfaces.
Use the RED CLOTH on the tires, glass
surfaces, and any chrome with tar. THE
GREEN
CLOTH
works well on the interior and will suck the dust off the dashboard in no
time.
I have a ’66
Mustang Fastback with a $10,000 paint job. Can I use the cloths on it?
Funny you should
ask. My brother-in-law has a ’66 Mustang Fastback with a $10,000 paint
job and he uses the cloths to clean his car before, during and after car
shows. What a coincidence.
I have a ’66
Mustang Fastback with a $29 paint job. Can I use the cloths on it?
Yes. But don’t
use the RED CLOTH
on the paint.

CAN I WASH MY DOG WITH THE CLOTH?
Yes. Use the BLUE CLOTH on Blue Ticks. The
RED CLOTH on Irish Setters.
CAN I WASH MY
KIDS WITH THE CLOTH?
Use the
GREEN
CLOTH. It’s soft and works especially great
on dusty kids.

I USED THE
RED CLOTH ON MY TELESCOPE LENS AND NOW MARS
LOOKS LIKE SATURN. WHAT’S WRONG?
Two possibilities. One is you’ve scratch the daylights out
of your telescope lens because the RED CLOTH is ABRASIVE! Or, you need to
turn your telescope around and look through the small end.

I JUST BOUGHT AN ORIGINAL VAN GOGH AT A GARAGE SALE. CAN I
CLEAN IT WITH THE CLOTHS?
Yes. And Congratulations. Use the
GREEN
CLOTH. The RED CLOTH might damage the velvet...Seriously,
the dusting cloth, the
GREEN
CLOTH, and the DUSTING mitt are
the favorite tools of several art galleries here in Laguna Beach.
